According to eyewitnesses, the first building to be targeted was a residential apartment in Dawood Tower in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, and the second building was in Rafah. Sources said that the PIJ terrorists were in two buildings at that time. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the airstrike on Gaza, saying it was a response to an attack by the PIJ terrorist organization, reports CNN. Also on Tuesday, Israel’s National Security Council said in a statement that PIJ had fired 102 rockets towards southern Israel on 2 May. The council said the new airstrikes were targeted and that Israel was trying to avoid harming the attackers as much as possible.
