As RT reports, officials have said that two Ukrainian drones attempted to strike the Kremlin. According to media reports, Putin’s office has issued a statement saying that the President was not injured in the terrorist attack and the Kremlin complex was not damaged. Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti that the president was not present in the Kremlin at the time of the drone strike. Further added that Putin was working on Wednesday at his Novo-Ogaryovo residence near Moscow. The president’s office said Ukraine carried out two drone strikes overnight with the intention of striking Putin’s Kremlin residence, RT reports.

The statement also said that the drone was brought down using electronic warfare measures. There was no casualty or damage in this attack. Moscow has considered the incident an act of terrorism. According to the President’s Office, the incident happened late on Tuesday and both the unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down on the grounds of the Kremlin. As RT reports, his schedule was not affected. The statement said that we have called this a pre-planned terrorist act and an attempt to assassinate the Russian President. As per reports, the incident comes ahead of the Victory Day and the parade on May 9, when foreign guests were expected to be present. The video is also going viral on social media. Smoke is seen rising behind the Kremlin in the video.
