Khader Adnan died in an Israeli prison on Tuesday after being on hunger strike for 86 days, Xinhua news agency reported. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani said in a statement posted on the ministry’s website that Adnan’s martyrdom in an Israeli prison further demonstrated the justification for the oppressed Palestinian nation’s resistance. Kanani said that the detention of the Palestinian civilian and the way he was treated by the Israelis is a prime example of Israel’s inhuman and violent behavior towards the Palestinian people over the past 70 years, which amounts to a crime against humanity. He said that the silence of the international community and human rights bodies on Israel’s acts would encourage the Israelis to continue with their behavior.
