IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi said in a statement on Friday that the situation at the Zaporizhzhya plant underscores the importance and urgency of agreeing on the safety of the plant. In recent months, Grossi has held consultations with Ukraine and Russia to create a safety zone at the plant, Xinhua news agency reported. The IAEA director-general said IAEA experts completed a rotation at the Zaporizhzhya plant on Thursday to continue the agency’s assessment of the facility’s safety status.
