Europe News Desk!! Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues. Meanwhile, Ukraine has received 6 billion euros ($6.6 billion) in direct budget support from the European Union (EU) so far this year. The Government of Ukraine gave this information. Ukraine received on Tuesday the third tranche of macro-financial assistance (MFA) from the European Union amounting to 1.5 billion euros, which will be used to meet budget needs, Xinhua news agency reported. Ukraine received the first tranche of 3 billion euros in January and the second tranche of 1.5 billion euros in March. Commenting on the aid, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said that EU support would help the government implement the budget on time and in full. Under the MFA, the EU plans to provide concessional financing to Ukraine totaling 18 billion euros in 2023.
