Europe News Desk!! The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirylo Budanov, has said that Ukraine is negotiating with Russia on the exchange of prisoners. Local media gave this information. In an interview with the RBC-Ukraine media outlet, Budanov said the two countries are close to an agreement in principle, Xinhua news agency reported. It envisages the release of all prisoners by both the sides. He said Russia has released more than 2,220 Ukrainian prisoners since the prisoner exchange began. According to Ukrainian officials, Ukraine and Russia have swapped more than 40 prisoners since the first exchange in March 2022.
