Saudi Arabia evacuates citizens, foreigners from Sudan

Europe News Desk!!! The Saudi Foreign Ministry has announced the evacuation of Saudi citizens and other nationals from Sudan, as fierce fighting continues in the country. A total of 158 people, including Saudi citizens and people from other countries, have been evacuated from Sudan and transferred by boat to Jeddah ports in Saudi Arabia, Xinhua news agency quoted Saudi state television as saying. The development came as armed clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in the capital Khartoum entered its second week. Al-Burhan agreed to provide the necessary assistance to secure it, the army said in a statement. Sudan has been witnessing deadly armed clashes between the Sudanese Army and the RSF in Khartoum and other areas since 15 April. Both sides have accused each other of starting the conflict. As of Friday, more than 400 people have been killed and about 3,500 wounded in the conflict, according to the Sudanese health ministry.
