Europe News Desk!! Arab League (AL) Secretary-General Ahmed Abul-Ghet has called for a ceasefire between the fighting parties in Sudan during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. I call on the brothers of the armed forces and the Rapid Support Force (RSF) in Sudan to declare a ceasefire in the days of Eid, the head of the pan-Arab organization said in a video statement. Sudan has been witnessing armed clashes between the Sudanese Army and the RSF in Khartoum and other areas since 15 April, with both sides accusing each other of starting the conflict. Abul-Ghet said, let there be a pause on the days of Eid, in which the fire is kindled on both sides in a comprehensive and complete manner. It is a purely humanitarian call, which has nothing to do with the political situation on the crisis, the AL chief said. Significantly, to mark the completion of the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr for three days.
