
Europe News Desk!! Nearly all of South Korea was engulfed in a yellow dust storm on Wednesday from the Gobi Desert in northern China and Mongolia. The state meteorological agency gave this information. Let me tell you, yellow dust means yellow dust is actually dust flying from the deserts of China and Inner Mongolia. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), the yellow typhoon spread almost across the country by 7 a.m. and will affect the entire country until Thursday. An advisory to avoid dust has been issued for all parts of South Korea, Yonhap news agency quoted officials as saying. The average hourly concentration of dust particles smaller than 10 micrometers in diameter increased to 192 micrograms per cubic meter in Seoul and 494 micrograms in Ulsan city, 307 km southeast of Seoul, the KMA said.
Fine dust advisory is issued when the PM 10 figure remains above 150 micrograms for more than two hours. The second lowest level of caution in the government’s four-stage distress alert against yellow dust has been implemented from 7 am in almost all parts of the country, the environment ministry said. The KMA said PM 10 concentrations will remain at very poor levels in the rest of the country till Thursday. Authorities advised people with respiratory diseases, the elderly and children to stay indoors and use masks when outside.
