Some of the released people are either wounded or seriously ill, Ermak wrote in a telegram. He did not provide details on the number of Russian troops released by Ukraine under the swap deal. The Coordination Headquarters said that Ukraine handed over five seriously wounded soldiers to Russia in accordance with the Geneva Conventions. Since March 2022, more than 2,000 Ukrainians have been freed as a result of a prisoner exchange with Russia.
