Europe News Desk!! Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has called on Muslim countries to form a united and coherent front in support of the Palestinians against Israel. Raisi, in a phone conversation with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, said regional and international affairs, especially the Palestine issue and the Palestinian cause, were discussed on the phone, Xinhua news agency reported, citing a statement posted on the website of the Iranian president’s office. Iran and Algeria share a common position on the protection of rights. The Algerian President said that he hoped that Palestine would be freed from the Israelis through cooperation between Muslim states. The phone conversation came after tensions escalated last week on Israel’s borders with Lebanon and the Palestinian enclaves of the Gaza Strip. Militants from southern Lebanon and Gaza fired rockets at Israel, while Israel responded with airstrikes.
