Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said that Ukraine wants to join the European Union (EU) within a year from the start of membership talks. “Our goal is to start EU membership talks in 2023,” Kuleba was quoted as saying by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, Xinhua news agency reported. I think it will take about a year for Ukraine to become a full member. The minister stressed that Ukraine is fulfilling the EU’s membership conditions faster than anyone expected. In June 2022, EU leaders identified Ukraine as a candidate for membership in the bloc. The European Commission put forward seven conditions to be met by Ukraine in order to start accession talks.
