On Wednesday afternoon, he was taken to the Policlinico e Gemelli in Rome for a medical examination. In the morning before going to the hospital, he presided over his weekly general audience in St Peter’s Square. He appeared to be in a good mood. He was seen smiling as he boarded the vehicle for the hospital.
