
Europe News Desk!! The United Nations is preparing itself to deal with floods in Somalia, as Somalia’s rainy season has arrived early this year. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Friday that Somalia’s rainy season, which normally runs from April to June, has arrived early this year. This resulted in heavy rains in some parts of the country. Flash floods in the country have killed 14 people, displaced thousands and destroyed properties, OCHA said. Many displacement sites have also been submerged. Quoting the report of the news agency Xinhua, it has been warned that there is a possibility of spread of other infectious diseases including cholera due to rain.
