Cyclone death toll in Malawai likely to reach 1000!

Europe News Desk!!! The death toll from Tropical Cyclone Freddy in Malawi is expected to exceed 1,000 as more bodies are being recovered and many more are still missing. As of Tuesday evening, the number of recovered bodies reached 507, as reported on Monday, the number of missing persons rose to 537 from 427, and the number of injured remained at 1,332. The number of displaced people has increased from 5,08,244 to 5,53,614 and nine more camps have been set up to accommodate them, taking the total number of camps to 543, Xinhua news agency reported. Search and rescue operations continued, as the Malawi Defense Force and Malawi Police Service worked closely with British, Zambian and Tanzanian experts in the affected areas. Local officials said more humanitarian aid and support was pouring in from neighboring countries, the United Nations and other international and local organizations, as well as individuals.
