Europe News Desk!!! Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has announced the launch of a new national airline, Riyadh Air, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. The airline, fully owned by the state Public Investment Fund (PIF), is expected to add $20 billion in non-oil GDP growth and create more than 200,000 direct and indirect jobs, SPA said in a report on Sunday. It added that the new national carrier will take advantage of Saudi Arabia’s strategic geographic location between three continents, making Riyadh the gateway to the world and a global destination for transport, trade and tourism. The new airline, as it was named, will operate from Riyadh as its hub, according to SPA, citing a report by Xinhua news agency. The flag carrier of the kingdom uses Jeddah, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia, as its main base.
