The Maritime and River Ports Agency said in a statement late on Sunday that the boat carrying a total of 47 people capsized in the sea off Madagascar on Saturday. Xinhua news agency quoted officials as saying that 23 of them were rescued and the operation to rescue the missing is still ongoing. According to the statement, the yacht was heading towards the French overseas island of Mayotte.
