Europe News Desk!!! At least two people were killed and 16 others injured in a train accident in the city of Qalyoub, 23 km north of the Egyptian capital Cairo. Egypt’s health ministry said 10 of the 16 injured were being treated at the Qalyoub Specialist Hospital and their injuries were not life-threatening, Xinhua news agency reported. The other six people have been released with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the Egyptian National Railways said in a statement that the train passed through a closed semaphore at Qalyoub train station and collided with security at the end of the railway. This resulted in the derailment of the locomotive and the first coach. The Egyptian Ministry of Transport has set up a committee to investigate the incident, the statement said.
