Europe News Desk!!! Dozens of Israeli air force personnel have announced they will not report to duty on training day in protest of the government’s judicial reshuffle. In an open letter, 37 of Squadron 69’s 40 reservist pilots said on Sunday they would not take part in Wednesday’s exercise. The army did not comment on the letter, but Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said in a video statement that any call for military disobedience harms the army’s functioning and ability to fulfill its duties. Israel’s far-right coalition government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is attempting to overhaul the judiciary to curb the Supreme Court. Netanyahu, who is facing corruption charges, wants to wield excessive power over the legal system, Xinhua news agency reported. Thousands of Israelis have been protesting in public for two months.
