
Europe News Desk!! Iran’s nuclear chief has said that Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have agreed to regulate their relations based on agreements on safeguards. Mohammad Islami, chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), made the remarks while addressing a joint press conference with IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi in Tehran on Saturday. Islami said both sides have Basing Iran’s relations on safeguards would help the IAEA be sure about Iran’s nuclear activities and prevent any anomalies.
The IAEA President said that communication should be in a trust-building manner, connecting both sides to protect it from outside interference so that cooperation continues in a trustworthy manner to resolve their issues. He said that the AEOI and the agency agreed that the agency should participate in the 30th Iranian Nuclear Conference to better understand Iran’s nuclear program and the capabilities of the country’s scientists, Iran in the next meeting of the IAEA’s Board of Directors On the possibility of issuing an adversarial resolution, Islami said that if it happens, the Iranian authorities will certainly decide accordingly and the AEOI will act based on them. Grossi said the IAEA stands ready to continue cooperation with Iran. He said cooperation between the agency and Tehran is expected. He condemned any military action against nuclear plants and power plants anywhere in the world. He also assured that the IAEA has never been and will never be used as a political tool. Notably, in recent months, the IAEA has criticized Iran for not cooperating with the agency.
