
Europe News Desk!!! Since the beginning of 2023, 55 people have died in landmine explosions in Syria. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the dead included two women and 18 children. It said the dead included five people who were killed on Thursday in the Salamiye area of the central province of Hama. The UK-based watchdog group said 118 people, including 28 children and four women, were injured by landmine blasts during the same period. Five people were killed in the explosion of a landmine left by Islamic State (IS) militants, the country’s official SANA news agency reported, Xinhua news agency reported. Many of the landmine victims are farmers or workers who were collecting truffles in the desert area.
