
Europe News Desk!!! Finland’s parliament has approved a law allowing the country to join NATO. 184 members of parliament voted in favour, seven against and one abstained. He said on Wednesday that Finland’s President Sauli Niinisto would sign the law as soon as possible. In May 2022, the Finnish parliament accepted an application to join NATO with 188 votes, Xinhua news agency reported. So far 28 NATO member states have ratified Finnish membership, with Turkey and Hungary yet to ratify. Left League MP Markku Mustajarvi said that Finland is not following the conditions set for joining NATO. According to Yale, Haavisto has said he believes that by the time of the NATO summit in Vilnius next summer, both Finland and Sweden will be members of the NATO military alliance.
