
Europe News Desk!!! A 28-year-old Indian student from Kerala died on the spot after being hit by a car that crashed at a bus stop in the UK. Athira Anilkumar Leli Kumari was pronounced dead following a collision at the junction of Stanningley Road and Cockshot Lane in Leeds last week. Athira was waiting at the bus stop when she was hit by a black Volkswagen Golf, besides another person who was also injured in the accident, who is undergoing treatment at the hospital. West Yorkshire Police said emergency services immediately arrived at the scene and found two pedestrians with serious injuries after the collision, involving a Volkswagen Golf car, also caused damage to a bus stop. The golf driver, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested, however she has been released on bail and inquiries continue. Police said the Golf had traveled onto the Armley gyratory before turning onto Stanningley Road towards Bradford. Athira, a resident of Armley Road, was a student of Leeds Beckett University. His relatives have been informed.
