Europe News Desk!!! The death toll in Brazil’s flood-hit Sao Paulo state has risen to 48. Rescue workers are continuing their search for the missing. Sao Paulo’s state government said 47 victims were in Sao Sebastiao municipality and one in Ubatuba, Xinhua news agency reported. About 40 people are still missing and most are believed to be buried under a mountain of mud. According to the government, three children have been rescued and 28 people have been hospitalized since Sunday. The coastal region was ravaged by twice as much rain as in February in 24 hours. The Brazilian Navy has set up a mobile port in the area, 190 km northeast of the city of Sao Paulo, to evacuate the many tourists stranded on impassable roads.
