7.2 magnitude earthquake hits Tajikistan, no casualties

Asia News Desk!!! A 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Tajikistan on Thursday. Earthquake tremors were also felt in Xinjiang region of China. An official in the region told Xinhua news agency that strong tremors were felt across the border, but there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage. Power supply and communication system is normal in Kashgar at present. According to reports, Kashgar and several surrounding counties and cities are within 300 kilometers of the epicenter. According to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), the quake occurred at 8.37 am. According to the CENC, the epicenter of the earthquake was at 37.98 degrees north latitude and 73.29 degrees east longitude at a depth of 10 km.
