Europe News Desk!! The Kenyan army has killed three Al-Shabaab terrorists in the coastal Lamu region near the Somali border. The Kenya Defense Force (KDF) has confirmed this on Friday. KDF spokeswoman Zipporah Kioko said the militants were killed early Thursday morning when they tried to sabotage a water tank at a military camp in the Sarira area. A KDF spokesman said several weapons, including two AK-47 rifles, two radios and three magazines, were recovered from the encounter site, Xinhua news agency reported. He further said that special forces were in hot pursuit of al-Shabaab. Security forces killed three terrorists including the leader. The situation on the ground has stabilised, he said over the phone. There is no news of anyone getting injured. According to the report, Lamu County has faced terrorist attacks in recent years in which several security officials and civilians have been killed.
